Juan is a corporate and transactional attorney that specializes in a wide range of practice areas, including commercial and residential real estate transactions, business transactions, leasing transactions, estate planning, probate proceedings and commercial litigation.

 

He represents various local and regional lenders in handling all aspects of banking transactions from evaluation of potential borrowers, structure of loans, and closing of transactions, including construction loans, mortgage modifications, future advances, line of credit facilities, and fixed and permanent financing, secured by real estate, assets, inventory, receivables and letter of credit.  His representation of lenders has included Eastern National Bank, Ocean Bank, Colonial Bank, Mercantile Bank and Regions Bank.

He also handles commercial and real estate transactions, representing both buyers and sellers, with all matters involved in a transaction, including contract negotiations, establishment of escrows, assistance with investigation periods, title insurance, and closing.  He represents developers with the acquisition and development of commercial and residential projects, including change of zoning, waiver of plats, covenants in lieu, financing, contract negotiations, escrows, and closings.   

 

Juan represents local, national, and international clients with the development and acquisition of business ventures.  From identification of business opportunities, creation of the appropriate corporate structure (corporations, limited liability company, partnerships), operational and management agreements, and acquisition of the business assets, he handles all aspects of the business transaction.  His representation includes several restaurant franchises, hotels and gas stations throughout the State of Florida.  

 

Juan represents small and large landlords and businesses for the development and negotiation of commercial leases, including shopping centers, retail, office and warehouse leases.  In addition, he handles residential leases for both landlords and tenants.   

 

Juan handles all aspects of defending and prosecuting commercial litigation cases, including contract disputes, condominium and homeowners’ association litigation, foreclosures, landlord/tenant disputes and appellate practice.  He has successfully filed and defended numerous matters.  He represents lenders in foreclosure matters, and specializes in expedited commercial foreclosures.  He has handled all aspects of landlord/tenant disputes, including distress for rent, evictions, and emergency actions for possession.
